Just a 10 minute walk from Stratford Tube station, nestled on the River Lee in the Queen Elizabeth 11 Olympic park lies Lee & Stort Luxury boat. I have cruised along the River Lee with 20 plus Tower Hamlets resident on one very sunny, warm summer’s day, a year or two after the 2012 Olympics, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of this lovely experience. And so did my guests including Mary, who was a little scared of attending mainly because she uses a wheelchair.
So am I saying take a punt and at least visit this site with your intimate wedding reception in mind? Well yes I am plus Mark and his crew are really nice and down to earth.
I’m not sure which vessel you’ll be assigned to but it’ll be just right for hosting your Hen or Stag night party, your Wedding Reception, birthday party, graduation party, special anniversary celebration and more.
AMENITIES ON BOARD ARE:
Fully trained Skipper and crew, capacity for 60 guests, Licenced bar, two toilets (one disabled), hydraulic wheelchair access, dancefloor.
RATES ARE: Day rates between 10am – 6pm at £300 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. Evening rates are between 7pm – midnight at £300 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. All prices include VAT

So I know this venue really well both in terms of volunteering at events and also being a Freelance Events Manager. I like it a lot for it’s versatility ie it can be transformed into a gorgeous wedding reception venue, a children’s birthday party fun space including bouncing castle or a Film Crew’s cafeteria.
AMENITIES ARE: Lichfield Hall is minutes from Mile End Tube station, fully furnished, it can accommodate up to 150 guests seated. RATES ARE Priced reasonably at £81 per hour and open from 9am – 11pm its a fabulous space to use for any event.

THE HERITAGE & ARTS CENTRE BOW
The top plus for this large Victorian venue is that it’s minutes from Mile End tube station and it has one of the highest, cathedral-like ceiling and towering pillars in Bow. The HAC Bow, formerly Holy Trinity Church is worth seeing in person.
AMENITIES ARE: It’s supported by trained staff, has a capacity of 250 for seated guests and 300 for standing guests, you’ve exclusive use of the site and disabled access. PRICES ARE: Day rates between 9am – 11 pm at £200 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. Weekday rates are between 10am – 10pm at £200 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. All prices include VAT

Waterfront Large Venues
3 Mills Island is film studio is recently famous for hosting Masterchef the Professionals and it’s also the home of The House Mill. It’s in House Mill museum, a space steeped in East-end history that you can take your eternal vows. OK so also it’s a great space with a lovely outdoor terraced, sun trapped area. The best suggestion I can give to couples is to firstly book one of their free tours; seeing is believing.
AMENITIES ARE: this venue accommodates up to 60 guests and you will need to book way in advance, I mean at least 9 months to be safe.
